Waking to a mist floating over
the lake is a serene way to start the day. Then a walk along the Tipperary
Track around the lake will stir the appetite for Ambleside's appetising
breakfast. It begins with juice, cereals, fruit and
yogurt. It could include anything from fluffy omelettes, garlic
mushrooms on pesto toast to the traditional English breakfast. Bottomless tea
and coffee, ample toast and homemade preserves, including their splendid lemon
butter, fortifies guests for the exciting day ahead. The
Carrolls live downstairs to allow guests privacy when relaxing in the warm
